Lessons
In this section we help your child to learn to tell the time. The lessons begin with the clock face progressing to hands and finally clock times. We do this through three sections, you can choose between O’clock, half past and lastly quarter past and quarter to. Select a lesson using your remote and Osley Owl and Godfrey Goat will guide your child through Springbank Farm’s daily routines, showing all the key times and using the farm to help your child work out clock times for themselves. The clock used throughout the game is analogue.
Games
In this section your child has a choice of four games. The first questions are about O’ clocks, the second are half past questions, the third are quarter past and quarter to and finally a
quiz, which has a mixture of times from the other games. Your child has the option of two answers, using the remote to make their choices. Your child will get help from Osley Owl if they answer incorrectly and praise from Osley Owl if they answer correctly.
Story
This is a short story told by Penly Pig about her day on the farm. Penly Pig will reads the story aloud and a bouncing ball moves along the sentences as they are spoken, showing your child the different words. After the story, your child is shown some words for them to say aloud with Penly Pig and they will be given the option to take the quiz about the story. When they have chosen to take the quiz they will have two answers to choose from, using the remote to select the answer. Osley Owl will state if your child has answered correctly or incorrectly.
Sing a Long
This is the Springbank Farm theme tune; it is in a karaoke style. This is used to help with rhythm and timing, whilst having fun.
Meet the Characters
Here you will see all the different farmyard characters, you can select any character and they will tell you who they are, what they like to eat, and other interesting facts about themselves.
Interactive Clock
Here your child can pick a number from the clock face and then Osley Owl will show the O’ clock, the quarter past, the half past, and the quarter to of that number. This is ideal for learning quick time recognition.
